Meet Hanny Hernandez! Hanny is originally from Mexico and moved to Gainesville when she was 13 years old and has now been here for 15 years. She is married to Amado Madrigal and the couple has three daughters.
Hanny owns Honey Bear Party Rentals. The company provides event decor, prop rentals and balloon deliveries; serving Hall county and surrounding areas. Follow her on Instagram: @honeybearpartyrentals
We want to thank Hanny for spending time with us recently and telling us more about her life and love of Hall County.

Question: What inspired you to led you to your current career?
Answer: “I’ve always enjoyed decorating for parties and for my kids and as far as I can remember I like doing DIYs. I started my business and I am doing pretty much anything that my clients wants me to do like birthday parties, baby showers, etc.”

Q: What is your favorite restaurant in Hall County?
A: “I would say El Griton Mexican Grill and I love their enchiladas for sure.”

Q: How long have you lived or worked in Hall County?
A: “I’ve been in Gainesville for about 15 years now. I started my business two years ago but before that I worked at Cottrell Inc as a Business Administrator.”

Q: Who is the most interesting person you’ve met here in Hall County?
A: “My dad. He came as an immigrant to this country with no money, no house, no car, not knowing the language

and now he also has his own company and is doing well! He risks everything to give us a better life and he did it. He never settled for little and he always told us being your own boss is the best way to be with your family and also doing something that you love.”

Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be? And why?
A: “Greece because I love the beaches. I just want to go there and relax.”

Q: What is your favorite movie? What is the first movie you remember seeing in a theater?
A: “Horror movie is my favorite like True Crime because I just get to know how people think.”

Q: What advice would you give to people?
A: “Stop being scared to chase your dreams and God will help you always.”

Q: What is something on your bucket list?
A: “Skydiving for sure!”

 Q: What is your favorite music or three bands that you would like to see (dead or alive)?
A: “I actually like a little bit of everything, I like Spanish and English music, I like pop, rock, etc.”

Q: What current / former local business makes you the most nostalgic about Hall County?
A: “I would say the Lakeshore Mall, I used to go there when I was younger and it brings so much memory.”

Q: If you could choose anyone with whom would you love to have lunch? Why? And where locally would you meet for this lunch?
A: “I would say my grandparents, they passed away about 5 years ago and I would loved to see them again and I’ll take them to lunch at Avocados Restaurant.”

Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique about Hall County?
A: ”There’s a lot of different races in here and you can see everybody in one place pretty much.”

Q: Where do you see yourself in five or 10 years?
A: “Growing the business, getting more people to work for me and maybe getting a place where I can have people come over and look at my work.”

Q: (Even for friends or family), what is something interesting that most people don’t know about you?
A: “I am a very loyal person and I am always trying to help people in any way for example in my business I give an offer or better price to my customer.”

Q: What three words or phrases come to mind when you think of the word HOME?
A: “My daughters, my husband and my parents.”

Q: If you were cast into a major motion picture and had your choice of anyone to be your co-star, who would you choose?
A: “Brad Pitt because he’s my ultimate crush and we will be doing an inspiring movies.”
