lauren-pudenzMeet Lauren Pudenz, the Gainesville Women’s Phoenix Club belle candidate in this year’s 2016 Charity Ball. Lauren is a busy senior at Gainesville High School. She volunteers as a Wyldlife Leader, is in Beta Club, and is an FCA leader. Lauren also played Varsity Golf the past 2 years. She spent this past summer volunteering at the NEGAMC and is currently interning at the Limestone Surgery Center. Lauren has a passion for traveling and has a goal of venturing to every continent before she dies. She also loves shopping – if you know Lauren, you know she has a killer fashion sense. Upon graduation, Lauren hopes to attend the University of Georgia and major in Pre-Med. We want to wish Lauren well in her Charity Ball fundraising and in her future endeavors.

Question: What made you want to do Charity Ball?
Answer: “I wanted to give back to the community that gave so much to me. I have been blessed to live in Gainesville where you have support all the time. I wanted to contribute to this support system that we have built here in our town and improve the lives of those in need.”

Q: Why is Feeding Our Future an important charity here in Hall County?
A: “Feeding Our Future is an important charity because it is an organization that truly makes a difference right here in our community. Hundreds of children go to bed with a full stomach because of the Junior League’s efforts.”

Q: What is your favorite restaurant in town and what do you love there?
A: “My favorite restaurant is Mellow Mushroom. I love their spinach salad and buffalo chicken pizza.”

Q: What is your favorite social outing?
A: “My favorite social outing is going on the lake with my friends. In the summer, we spend hours on the lake wakesurfing and wakeboarding. Some of my favorite memories are spending the whole day on Lake Lanier and watching the sun go down.”

Q: If you could travel anywhere right now, where would it be? Why?
A: “If I could travel anywhere right now, I would go to Monaco because it is one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever seen. Between the water and the beautiful boats — it was paradise.”

Q: What’s the first movie you remember seeing in a theatre?
A: “The first movie I remember seeing in a theatre was Beauty and the Beast.”

Q: What advice would you give to a crowd of people?
A: “I would tell them to live a great story. Life is too short too not make it worth living every single day. Make your story one worth reading.”

Q: What is something on your bucket list?
A: “It is on my bucket list to sail around the Greek Islands. Being on the water is my favorite place to be and I can’t imagine sailing around in those blue, clear waters.”

Q: What 3 bands or artists would you love to see?
A: “I would love to see John Mayer, Eric Church, and Adele.”

Q: What is your favorite thing about Hall County?
A: “My favorite thing about Hall County is the tradition. Gainesville holds strong tradition everywhere you go and I think that’s what makes it so special.”

Q: What are your plans after graduation?
A: “I hope to attend UGA and major in pre- med and be involved in a sorority.”

Q: Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
A: “In 10 years I see myself as a surgical physician’s assistant. I will hopefully be married and starting my life as an adult.”
