Meet Sam Stewart! Sam is a senior at Lakeview Academy and will be attending Mercer University in the fall and will be playing baseball. His parents are Scot Stewart and Cathy Finch, and he has two younger siblings. We want to congratulate Sam and his family on his upcoming graduation and best of luck in the future.
Question: Please tell us a little bit about your family.
Answer: “My parents are Scot Stewart and Cathy Finch and both are doctors that work in Gainesville. I have two younger siblings Henry, who is a freshman in high school, and Maggie who is in 1st grade.”
Q: What are your plans after graduation?
A: “I will be attending Mercer University and I will also be play baseball for Mercer.”
Q: What are two of your favorite restaurants in our community?
A: “Mellow Mushroom and Johnny’s BBQ.”
Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?
A: “The Bahamas because I would just like to see the ocean.”
Q: What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?
A: “‘Good Will Hunting.'”
Q: If you were asked to give advice to your senior class and the younger students at your school, what would you say?
A: “Take nothing for granted, everything could be taken away just like that.”
Q: If you were able to be cast as yourself into a television show or series, what show would you want to be in?
A: “‘All American.'”
Q: If you could choose anyone to have lunch with, who would you choose? Why? And where, locally, would you meet for this lunch?
A: “My Grandfather, Johnny’s BBQ, we would meet there and just talk. I haven’t be able to really talk to him since he got sick.”
Q: What is your favorite thing about our community?
A: “How everyone would like to help each other during this Pandemic. I haven’t really seen anybody be really greedy or try to endanger others.”
Q: What is something on your bucket list?
A: “Own a Waffle House.”
Q: What is your go to band / singer when you cant decide what to listen to?
A: “Luke Combs.”
Q: Favorite month? favorite holiday? and best single day on the calendar?
A: “March, Christmas, I don’t have a single day but around Feb. 14 cause that’s when baseball starts.”
Q: What would you rate a 10 out of 10?
A: “Lindy Kanaday.”
Q: What is something you want to do as soon as this pandemic is finished?
A: “Play baseball and hangout with my friends.”
Q: Who inspires you to be better?
A: “My parents.”
